- Good quality keyboard for that price
- Many Controller
- Connectors small but sufficient in the case of an amateur beginners and has a MIDI Controller.
- A manual clear, well rdig almost too complex for anyone who wants to test the keyboard quickly, without connatre the basics of MIDI.
- Catch CONTRL trs curiously effective and useful, despite its rudimentary display

UTILIZATION

The installation does not pose any problem (if you follow the instructions to add in the pack and replace the installation document!). CONTRL software is simple and ample. The eight curves are more VLOC apprciable trs (4 only on the keyboards of the CME UF SERIES!) And can play any instrument properly.

In use, the keyboard is enjoyable but the pressure force on the black keys is much suprieur have on the white keys, which causes some problem to play some grade instruments (including the piano). The aftertouch works well but one effect pedals remain much more efficient to provide natural play. My pedals M-Audio works perfectly with the XBoard is a real pleasure!

For fans of the scne, Access in functions (select patches, effects, latch mode, snapshot, bypass ...) is because trs think fast (which is normal , as the XBoard is a basic keyboard).

Remains a agaant: why not have released a 61-key keyboard XBoard 169 euros 189 euros or 76 keys? I feel a little strait with 49 keys!

OVERALL OPINION

APRs have a little touch of piano and composition MIDI there are more than 2O years (Ensoniq SQ1, DX7), I looked long the keyboard to get back (thank you Audiofanzine for its tests, its advice and forums!). To beginners, I quickly XBoard cart for the size of its keyboard and touch not ballast. I had long hsitations on the M-Audio KeystationPro 88 (big and well made ... but no aftertouch!) And UF8 CME (good price, but TRS good keyboard cumbersome and immature, ct especially software).

Finally, for a low price, the XBoard silent the ideal solution. We must make some compromises (Difference significant effort between the black keys and white keys keyboard limit 49) but this keyboard really helps to have some fun. Lightweight, easy fit, plug (USB powered), Settings, many functions and exploitation is not regretting a purchase! And for the cranky who expect more, it can still serve as Controller for your secondary loops received, your program changes, your effects, etc..

For my part, I redo their hands on it before competitors line up on E-Mu and we offer as attractive keyboards! CME is not far ...
