[NAMM] Jet City "+" Series

Jet City Amplification announced a range of four new guitar cabinets: The new “+” series range come in 1x12, 2x12 and 4x12 configurations, with new features.

RRV MicSim. Developed by Doug Roberts of Roberts RetroValves, MicSim is a balanced XLR output from the speaker cabinet which emulates a microphone. This feature is designed to allow the guitarist to send a consistent feed to the mixer in a live or
recording environment. The RRV MicSim is also available as a standalone box – the JetDirect, at $49.99 estimated street price.

SuperTuning Port by THD (only on 12+ and 24+ models). Starting with Thiele/Small parameters for engineering flat frequency response ports, Andy Marshall of THD Electronics took things a bit further, JCA explains. Using the specifics of the JCA Eminence speakers and dimensions of the cabinets, Marshall engineered porting via a removable rear panel which is packed in the box with the  cabinet. This gives the guitarist three possible cabinet configurations: Open, Closed, or Ported.

Estimated street prices:

  • $199.99 JCA12s+
  • $299.99 JCA24S+
  • $399.99 JCA48S+
  • $399.99 JCA48ST+ (the new straight-front 4×12)
