Best value: Excellent
Made in Indonesia
Spruce top with cutaway (but not massive) with rosette shifted up
Mahogany (40 mm at nut) rosewood fingerboard with 20 frets
Back & sides rosewood bridge
Nut (head and bridge) plastic
Mechanical oil bath
The strings are D'Addario (80 100 65 45) of good quality
Fishman classic 4 preamp on my model (no tuner)

Bought in Germany for € 235 - unfortunately for our national commerce does not offer this level of in-store prices

UTILIZATION

The finish is quite good (quality of the patent of the body and the handle) but with some details that could be reviewed
- A fault on the wooden edge of the button at nut. More cosmetic than anything else
- Action too high ropes
- Filed down the frets should be on their ends for a better hit
- The patent on the head was slightly damaged on a stop (the problem of friction during transport may be)
- The internal edges of the rosette are not evenly coating
- Should be a thumb rest to make the game even more comfortable, but competing models do not offer (except for the Warwick Alien)
Handle very nice, we forget completely

Correct accuracy (but not 100%). Fortunately, as no adjustment can

Access to treble is good thanks to the cutaway but the action too high a standard does not make this area very pleasant to play

Ergonomics nice head a bit heavy, very light and low support play well relaxed on his couch. The body is quite large and may not be suitable for smaller riders

The acoustic sound is very nice. The original strings (D'Addario Bronze), although good, are rendered too metallic (artifice to increase the power of the acoustic bass). I immediately changed the strings for LaBella Deep Talkin ', spun nylon flat: we lose in power what wins round and smooth glides. But what do these strings are great!

I just plugged in a bass amp to make sure the preamp worked well but have not explored this use. This bass is primarily intended to play at home

SOUNDS

Seems very suitable for any style of music "cool" or acoustic

no opinion on the use amplified at the moment

OVERALL OPINION

Use for several weeks.

I particularly
- The sound warm and powerful enough, good bass
- Lightness,
- The overall comfort of use

I would have preferred a slightly thinner body (by agreeing to lose low) to make it more comfortable to play.

I appreciate less
- The absence of thumb is: unless you play with a pick, I'm pressing the rose but it's not my favorite position
- Some details of the finishes that would not pass through the "quality control"

A recommendation for those looking for a cheap instrument, the very good value for money for occasional use or domestic
