Made in Mexico.
Handle fairly close to that of an electric guitar.
20 frets with 17 easily accessible through the Cutaway.
Fishman Classic 4 (Medium Severe Acute Equaliser + presence + volume)
I put 9 instead of 10 because they could have put the price of the best guitar preamp.
UTILIZATION
The handle is very nice.
Access to the treble is very easy thanks to the Cutaway. on the other hand benchmarks being on the edge of the handle and not handle, tracking is more difficult.
The ergonomics are excellent (compared to an Ovation, Ovation is thinner and therefore easier to stall, the cons by Ovation has a tendency to slip which is not the case of Martin (I'd draw) . The weight is correct.
This gives a good sound in all cases this is less true with an Ovation.
I put 10 despite the failure of key benchmarks because it is a good way to better control the stick.
SOUNDS
I sold my Ovation and I broke my piggy bank to buy the Martin because of HER.
When we listened to Martin, we do not forget the sound. We tried another and another and we ended up buying it.
Fishman preamp meets quite well the color of the sound of the guitar (it was almost the same sound without amp - you can do even better by putting a microphone shure before the rosette).
Its very balanced. It is a dreadnough, very powerful. When I play alone, there is no need to amplify it. on the other hand in the group I branch on the sound system.
For audio, listen to the video on YouTube you'll have an idea of what it gives. But the best is to try it (unless you're broke, it's not worth getting hurt ...).
OVERALL OPINION
I've had it three months.
I played a lot with an Ovation (which I appreciated), I also played with a Washburn, a Takamine, a SAL and finally an Ibanez. The Takamine is not bad, but it's the sound of Martin's downgrades all.
It is expensive. But is the price to pay for this sound. To start watching the side of LAG, they make good products.
What I like most? THE SOUND. But the handle is very nice.
