This amp sound is well equipped.
It is very compact (Width 373mm x Depth 362mm x Height: 331mm), lightweight (12.2 kg).
In look, it is black with edges well rounded and the famous fabric style "Tweed" black front speaker.
The buttons are typical products of VOX. I love it.
Although this is very rare on the amps "sound", it lacks an effect loop and an output "per channel". The DI-OUT will not only send one to a table singing + guitar for example ... Too bad!
Haa yes! The manual. Not rocket science, but only in English (even on the manufacturer's website - haaa our English friends). on the other hand, there is a lamp ... and I have not seen (and not looked either) how to change it ... not a word about it in the manual ...
UTILIZATION
This amp is set up like any good amp:
Gain, EQ, master volume ... Not rocket science.
EXTRAS:
- The knobs Bass, Middle, Treble are accurate and extensive ... You can really play with the frequencies to sound better at his instrument ...
- The All-Mute button is very convenient, fingertip (or foot with the optional footswitch that I did not buy) it avoids any noise when not playing - me playing in a group ... sometimes I let go of the guitar to sing alone, or simply to give. In short, handy.
- The two independent channels that can really be to have two different sounds for a single instrument or connecting two instruments, an instrument or a microphone and singing ... Briefly: versatile.
THE LEAST:
- Next to the "gain" of each channel there is a witness "clip" that saturates when rougeoit ... BUT, it "compresses" the sound to a level determined by VOX (probably to protect the amp) and decreases the volume. This is quite disturbing. In short, impossible to saturate with this amp ...
- The lack of an effects loop. Certainly there is a reverb (with only the amount of reverb) and chorus (without any adjustment possible) but nothing beats the effects pedals dedicated (I have a nice collection)
- The single output DI-Out, which is nothing but a "bypass" which sends the signal directly input to the output XLR. This is an integrated DI ...
SOUNDS
With the finer settings, the two channels have a wide range of sounds.
Channel "normal" amplifies the guitar with precision ... according to their tastes and needs, the EQ does a great job.
Channel "PreTube" gives a warmer, more compact, round with the lamp and gives that little color "bluesy" well nice ...
I play a Takamine rosette with micro ... (Probably not the best microphone to amplify an acoustic guitar -> I'll change that).
As stated above I have a nice amount of effects to add that I love the sound of the acoustic

But, since there is no effects loop, the signal reaches the receiver after passing through all these pedals ... From the sound of the guitar connected directly or through any pedals (even true bypass ) the sound is very different ... It proves that the signal is "rendered" by the amplifier, because the inevitable loss of signal with all the pedals means very much.
SO, what I do is ride a pedal "effects loop" to limit the loss of signal ...
I know that sounds heretical, but I like to add some "distortion" a slight crunch on the sound of acoustics. The sound of a slamming metal and more acoustic with a slight saturation gives rhythm that hit well ... But, clearly this amp is not made for that ...
Trying to store I played on a guitar with microphone integrated piezo => I'll raise my sound on both the definition of sound is different compared to micro ceiling rose ...
I have tried for only one rehearsal ... but I have to take the time to test the effects of different assemblies, setting the input levels and equalization to get the sound I like ...
OVERALL OPINION
As said, I just bought it and I have only tested during a single repetition.
Small clarification: we are in group 5.
- Electric guitar on a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe III
- An electric guitar on all lamp Blackstar
- A bass player on a big amp transistor
- A drummer who bangs "normally"
And all this in a small room of 16m ²! In short, to cover the battery, we play hard, too hard (we all plugs hearing protection, otherwise it is untenable)
And there, despite everything, 150W seem limited ... This is not a defect but rather a particular sound ... No amp has been designed to cover two big amps electric lamp that spit good distortion ...
Use in "solo" you realize the expertise of VOX. The sounds are beautiful ... the difference between the channel and the normal lamp is clearly audible and it's really a pleasure to spend from one to the other (require "fitting" with footswitch) to ring the sound differently.
A big + for connecting a microphone singing. My voice is clear though, the included reverb does wonders even if it is summarized in its simplest form and the EQ really lets give a beautiful tone to my voice ...
It's the same with the guitar. This EQ is excellent and you can really play with her ... I promise that the crystalline notes of an arpeggio with the pedal and Delay / Reverb TC or electronic you "draw" the hair as it is musical. (Rhaaa why there is no effects loop!!).
I love the precision of the settings and the sound that emerges is that to hear the subtleties of sound typical of an acoustic ...
In addition, we have not the slightest fart breath, the sound is pure and bright well ...
I wish I had more power ... but this seems rare with an amp sound.

CONCLUSION
If you are looking for a small amp for powerful sound, please. It sounds great ... and doubled guitar - voice Works Wonders ... Compared to a Roland AC-60 is much better because there is no digital in all this ... this is the real sound that comes out. The lamp gives a very different ... and I'm anxious to try my electric guitar in it ...
