- What characteristics have motivated your choice?
I did not choose
It was in the panel of speakers that I have tested and compared to choose my pair. Selection made on the frequency response and price. The Behringer have not been retained.
- For what purpose?
Monitoring in the studio on productions pro.
- What amp / What configuration? ...
No amp, they are active.
Connected behind a RME Multiface
SOUNDS
I was (like other musicians who accompanied me) very pleasantly impressed with the sound quality and power of these speakers.
But we all agreed not to give them the monitoring of an album!
These speakers are not at all linear. It is very flateuses in serious, but gives a great lack of precision (if not a slurry) in the lower midrange. The highs are a bit garish and also lack precision.
It makes the speakers a good power / price / quality for listening to music, not to mix.
I have also recommended a friend who had no chain and he is delighted. But really, these speakers are monitoring the name.
OVERALL OPINION
- How long have you use it?
I do not use them
- What is so special that you like most and least?
Most? Power / price
The least: too imprecise for the monitoring
- Have you tried many other models before buying it?
The test was made from a single CD test on a range of speakers located under 1000 euros a pair (actually, under 600 euros, since the time of the test, there were few pairs between 700 and 1000 euros). Some speakers much higher price were also heard.
Now, these speakers do not even so much since the price advantage which do a hundred dollars more, you can have the speakers much more accurate, though it may seem less pleasant to listen . For those who have little experience of monitoring speakers, do not rely on the flattering side of her. A forum for monitoring a lot more needs to be ruthlessly accurate as flateuse.
- How would you rate the quality / price?
He was right at a time. Much less today.
- With experience, you do again this choice? ...
Not to choose, yes. Especially with experience.
