Genelec debuted the sales of two new mid-field three-way powered studio monitors, the 1237A and 1238A.
Both Genelec 1237A and 12381 are high-end models and include the latest technologies developed by the brand: SAM (Smart Active Monitor) to automatically adapt the response to the environment and studio configuration, DCW (Directivity Control Waveguide), ISS (Intelligent Signal-Sensing) to reduce the power consumption by activating the monitors only when a signal is detected and turning it to standby after a user-defined inactivity period. Genelec also used a proprietary DSP that ensures compatibility of the monitors with AES/EBU digital as well as analog signals.
