«  The Prodipe 5 for a few euros less »

Published on 06/01/11 at 03:36
I was looking for compact monitor speakers to play at home and do some mixing. I spotted the PRODIPE 5, 150 € the baffle.
Seeing that I was a bit broke in the store, the salesman pointed me to these Keywood me noting that Keywood 5A MKII were indeed the Masked PRODIPE 5.

For details on the technical characteristics of the speakers, you can go and look for Prodipe 5 since these are exactly the same except that the vents are not in the front and rear (personally I prefer since I had to stick the speaker the wall. Prodipe could not breathe).

SOUNDS

These speakers have an excellent stereo imaging. Their sound is fairly well balanced but obviously to a certain extent because of the small size (5 ") from their cabinet: they have good fishing in the treble, midrange, slightly less in the lower midrange (but it's still very correct), but they lack presence in the bass. For nothing drool cons, everything is clear and detailed.

I sometimes used to play guitar with modeling, and next to my amp with 2 speakers Marshall 1912 and their bowls 12 inches and well Keywood really do not compare (quite normal I tell you. ..

OVERALL OPINION

I wish I could use these speakers to play guitar and let my speakers aside sometimes, but I can not even if the value is very good, so I think it over again I would expect a little more for me towards the 8-inch speakers for the bass I miss anyway.

That said ... I repeat, this is a good product, which may be accompanied by a box (type Prodipe 10S)
