I had a real need for a neutral monitoring of the mix (even a little mastering) to mock a waltz album titles between very acoustic, rock and some more electronic, without having to go around the pregnant friends to check ... so I made the purchase of Yam HS 50M (ideal for a tight budget), which are suitable for my workspace pokey. The accuracy of these supposedly low-volume speaker was decisive in the choice of HS 50M with respect to competition. Post-2.1 system purchased under € 60 in a large area well-known media, comparing with my old installation is not only to Win anyway. Obviously, for listening to music, it's not piercing means all defects, especially the mp3 cuts all flat surfing the net. Again, that's what I wanted: to hear the flaws. Many people confuse working chambers and speakers to listen.

SOUNDS

So obviously, I have since yesterday ... still not enough to push them into a corner ... but all the defects of mixes made my old speakers (very) public figure to jump! And this is what I was looking for, especially not hide the dirt under the rug with a monitor that values (which incidentally is not monitoring in this case). I wanted to neutral, I am pleasantly served.
The accuracy of the stereo image is magical and the slightest movement of the equalizer is noticeable. It becomes quite easy to mix up a dish while immersed in the medium frequency (my big problem), especially for guitars and vocals, reverbs that once drooled over the audio are very precise. Maybe one of acute chouilla just tinting the whole, but it remains to put all that much and especially use the CONTROL ROOM (which is supposed to compensate) because everyone can not place them in an ideal, 50m wall (!!!)

OVERALL OPINION

I have since yesterday ... so I really like the stereo and the response level of EQ, even though they actually seem slightly "value" (rather than build value for that matter) the acute , it's still very comfortable. Especially at low volume they lose nothing of mixing (except blunders on my part and poor choice of mixing, so if it happens) ... in short, I can finally start working seriously.
I hesitated a long time with Mackie MR5 and Tapco S5 ... the former are too big for my setup (working in a loft apartment in a small, no need to blow up the windows) and it's not so neutral, the latter exceeded including the Yam 'HS 50M. Value for money? Ideal to seriously consider a clean work without having to spend € 400 enclosure.
I do it again this choice? No doubt. It is always better but you have to define its needs if it is not forever drooling over the top model (and go into debt or puncture his bank account), they are unbeatable value for money in this range and (I ramble) allow to get into the mix being sure of their choices and the outcome, that is the principal.
