Value For Money : Excellent
Audience: Beginners
Standard mixing desk, analog, non-rack (I know), with:
- 4 XLR microphone jack or line with gain, 3 band EQ (+ /-15dB), low-cut button to 80Hz, volume, pan, effect level and alim Phaethon (on / off button for the 4) all controls are rotating, an LED 'clip'
- 4 stereo line input jack 2x mono symmetrical effect or not level, pan size, button, +4 / -10
- Stereo headphone output jack 6.35
- Hand out 2xjack 6.35
- Exit ctrl room 2xjack 6.35
- Effect output jack to send
- Record in and out in 2x2 RCA / RCA
- Digital effects section (of course) with a Knob to select the effect and Knob for the effect level in the master
- A volume PHONES / CTRL ROOM (rotary)
- A master volume (linear)
- Three switches for the routing (I can not remember how they work, see the doc for that)
- External power supply in a transformer, connects to the console via a plug type PS / 2 (I do not know what type exactly, probably not the owner, I'd be surprised, but who knows ...)
- A meter stereo General 2x4 leds

lya what to do. However, at the gaps:
- No inserts
- No send / return
- Not to (the "effect send" can act)
- Master volume rotary except
- No adjustments on the effects, everything is preset, it does effect the level of
- 3-band eq nonparametric and only the first 4-way
- VU meter generally does not have enough leds
- Low-cut at a frequency too high?
- No mute
- Phantom power button for the 4 channels.

Let's be honest, it's cheap and small table size, so do not expect a lot of features. He must know what you are looking for. Base, there is already a lot of opportunities and also checks for a small table.

UTILIZATION

This table is obviously very easy to use. Everything is very straightforward, aside from the three switches on the bottom right that I did not understand the operation. I confess I have not tried, and I did not need to use it until then.

In single or repeated sound recording, this table is nickel. Simple, easy to implement, perhaps lacking a bit of gain for rehearsals with a sound anemic. The external transformer is a bit boring for cons, it takes a little space and the connector seems to me fragile. Not that great.

The meters are useful, nothing more. Not very accurate. All controls are rather vague. Given the size of the buttons is not surprising.

I can not remember the details of the manual, except it is pretty clear, there are indications of internal routing, some patterns, you need to take charge. That's enough, anyway.

SOUNDS

Unable to compare it to other tables and have virtually no experience of recording analog desk, I am in no position to judge this, I will abstain. Just allow myself I noticed that it seems transparent, EQ walk, without more, the wind is mild but present, and the effects are nice but no more. Can not resolve it on the order of the gadget, but in practice repeated for adding a little reverb on vocals. On record, the interest is almost nil. A compressor would have been nice, but there should be a separate track from here and it's a multi-purpose integrated general to all channels, therefore unenforceable.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a little over 2 years. This is my first mix personal table. Before I could 'play' around with another 48 channels Bahringer but he had also been repaired following a failure of a condo, and it was not obvious (it is for the anecdote, end of digression). It has never been a problem. I use it for personal records (with one or two behind UCA202) and repeated with a stereo when there is no real sound. It is very convenient in both cases, renders great service as we do not look for quality, and phantom power is welcome. No surprises so far.

It is very interesting because of its size and reduced weight, functions that work well. on the other hand, clearly, we feel we are in the entry level: it lacks a lot of functions, the effects are anecdotal and difficult to use, the sound is correct without more, the power supply connector is fragile (I think he) is plastic (but the metal frame looks solid), the controls are imprecise, and so on. No Offense: the quality / price is good.

With the experience I would do this choice, but I would take the model down, without effect, for what I use. In fact I had bought it in pseudo-time (very little use) and it was the price of the model below, which is why I took it. But if there is possibility of having the model without effects cheaper, I would advise taking the model below. To start we have seen worse.
