4 / 6 aux send per
A 3-band eq (2 + 1 shelf paramtrique non peak) per
4 Stereo to return (two mono jack in back)
Exit Alt 3 / 4 (two mono jack)
headphone output (1 Stereo jack) </ul>
UTILIZATION
Trs robust.
Many possible routings with 4 / 6 aux send (4 per slice, 6 available) and 4 Stereo Returns.
Possibility of having two sub-groups with the output Alt 3 / 4 to reroute a return or two slices of the table.
19 "rack.
Trs good manual, and document possible changes to the site Mackie.
SOUNDS
This is a table references. But:
Since I EAA Quest 804, I do realize that EQ is dirty, dirty trs. The sound loses its momentum just by pushing a single low squence simple but rhythmic percussive trs. EQ make the service but do not really abuse it, unless its a typical search. Note that the EQ is not disabling.
Personally I hear the crosstalk. A priori nothing serious once in a mix, as the noise levels are too low.
OVERALL OPINION
I have this table since 1997. TRS is a good restaurant in its class, very compact routing capabilities, and it is his strong point. Its weak point is the EQ DEFINITIONS. I can not talk about Micro preamps, I do not use.
The acquisition of Quest 804 EAA brought me wonder if I will keep. The rponse is yes because I could not find a table with the same rack routing capabilities that level of quality and low price. So I will use my tables for two DIFFERENT needs, and playing the patchbay to route my sounds on one or the other as needed.
