Published on 02/19/11 at 09:1316 mono inputs
2 stereo inputs
4 groups
6 Auxiliary
Mono output
2 stereo effects returns
Back 2 tracks (with the possibility of injecting the two tracks back in the mix)
Order system
100mm long throw faders
Noise (22Hz-22kz): Mic EIN @ max gain., 150 Ohms source impedance:
-128 DBu, Mix @ max. Fader Min
UTILIZATION
analog mixer, so simple to implement.
Easily implemented in a home studio setup but a bit light for concerts (16 tracks).
French documentation is clear but could be further improved.
Can be inserted into pre / post 2 multis effects in stereo or 4 mono + 2 auxiliary still in post
The 2X2 stereo inputs are of little use for keyboard, guitar, bass voice. Except to pass a signal from an mp3 player, cd, dat.
I note 8 for ease of use and overall configuration.
SOUNDS
Personally, I like the sound that I find soudcraft warm and round. I liked the addition of a multi-purpose lexicon, as in ranges MFX brand.
The markers are semiparametric efficient and it must go molo.
No noise during handling of knobs, the colors of these help to quickly familiarize themselves with the lx7II
Talkback function for communication with the stage activated by a button, friendly and avoids not nice about the musicians in the balance.
The console is suffering a bit, but very slightly with a limiter, it easily disappears.
Finally the 6 auxiliary pre / post to introduce multi effects or compressors.
I tried
OVERALL OPINION
Allen & Heath 22fx (same range) and multi effects are approximate, release general blow more than the LX7 II 16/4/3.
I have not tried the yamaha 24 or 32/fx but we see the number of housing sales used in AF to be convinced of their qualities.
With Soundcraft, we like it or not the sound. I saw sound engineers who prefer Allen & Heath.
Brief questions of taste and ears.
It's like the guitarists, some are Fender, Gibson others.
Used for 1 year now, I recommend this console largely for its versatility, build quality, sound, opportunities, sub groups, the clipping level for each channel, the 5 parameter settings per channel and the 6 Aux pre / post
I put 8.
To use the amateur or semi professional, I find this very effective and console instead advises the 24 tracks.
Certainly, in 1000 the € 16 runs and 1400 € the € 24 tracks and 1690 the 32 tracks is not given but also the price of a quality that we do not regret it.
