I use it for 4 months with a ladle
I like: in a unit, 8-track tape magneto 1 / 4 inch, table 8 inputs with high quality parametric equalizer, a VU meter per track plus two master pure, natural compression of hell, no the galleys of the patch, ultra fast and easy to use when we took the stuff, it really is plug n 'play. And how dynamic the band! his little ledge skye, its backlit VU meter ... he has a fucking mojo!
what I like least: uh ... I know. Oh yes, the capo of the magneto should have a little stick to keep open all alone, it is reombe sucks ... Letouchais the knobs is not the best I've ever seen. he weighs his weight too. Other than that ...
before I had the tascam tascam 424 and 688. the 388 is the 688 Pro version. K7 is replaced by the band 1 / 4 ', the semi equalos parameters by parameters, the meters with VU meters, preamps with better preamps, etc.. aufinal not much to do so, we are in the high-end and it shows!
with the experience that I would do well on this choice. I would say that if I had to buy one, I could make twice what I paid for first.
last detail, attention is a machine that talks, especially if you use it with old tapes. tape in poor condition you off this layer of dirt on the read heads in less than 20 seconds more than you do a lot of machine! but with bands of good quality, no complaints.
