Moog unveils the Emerson Moog Modular System

What seemed to be a joke when announced a few years ago was in fact a very serious project that Moog finally completed and unveiled last week.

Moog Music decided to pay hommage to Keith Emerson and his collaboration with Bob Moog by recreating the iconic Emerson Moog Modular system, a monster that was introduced last week at the Moogfest. Emerson also was invited to the party for a performance on Thursday and a live chat on Friday.

The reproduction of this giant voltage control synth took three years to the Moog team, who based their work on the original documentation and circuit board that composed each module of the instrument. All the modules were hand-built using the same assembling methods as during the original process in the Moog Factory in Trumansburg, NY, back in 1969.

The price of the Emerson Moog Modular is available upon request, if your heart can handle the news…
