i want to do some expiramenting is their any danger to the motherboard by hooking up different jacks and amps to the cd in on the card
im not worried about the card but i dont want to damage my new pc. Its a pci card. I mostly want to use the cd in wire as an input jack for my guitar amp so i can record and i get statis through the line in

use the 'send' of your amp and plug it into the 'cd in' of your soundcard.
