Digital Audio from Roland VS-840 to PC

I used to successfully record from my Roland 840-VS's coaxial output to my Compaq PC via the digital input on my CardDeluxe sound card. Then I bought a new Gateway PC, and it doesn't work. Gateway says that the PC is not compatible with S/P DIF. Is there an interface which I can use to fix this problem and still be able to use the new PC?
