Prolem with Ac97 Sound card and MIDI

Hi,
I have got a Yamaha CLP130 Clavinova and a computer with AC97 onboard sound card.
I tried to connect them with a MIDI cable, but it doesn't work.I tried another cable and every other way that
might help, but there wasn't any response.

I chose MPU401 in the Cakewalk Home Studio as Input and output.

I think that AC97 sound card wouln't work with midi devices at all.what do you think about this problem.

Yes,
It has.

Even I had tested with a creative PCI sound card, but I didn't get result.
