need advice choosing audio interface

Hi, i'm looking for an audio interface to hook on my new laptop.
It should need at least 2mic preamps, and if it includes some cool software would be nice aswell,
the number of other I/O's is not that important as i'm satisfied with the little, nor is the way of connecting it (i don't know which is best) the quality however should be good ofcourse. Edirol1616m, or mbox2?? Any experiences?
any advice is welcome. thanks
