Thread advice on soundcard needed!!!

Hi everyone,
This is my first post on this site, and i'm just wondering if you can help choose the right soundcard for my setup. I want to connect to my laptop via usb 2.0. The inputs to the soundcard will be from the master left and right outs from my studiomaster 16 track mixdown gold.
it would essiantlly be just a stereo live recording of a full band setup. i'm aware that this isn't the best way to go about it but the big nice digital multitrack setups are a bit out of my price range at the moment. I've been looking at the Edirol UA-25 as it has mild compressor built in. let me know what you think.

Cubase 3.0 SX if you can gegt it. But as far as the soundcards try www.emu.com. They have outboard soundcards now. also try www.presonus.com. The fireport is nice and they have others
