TopicPosted on 06/09/2011 at 01:09:29How to Choose an Audio Interface
Computers can be pretty smart, but when it comes to sound, they need a translator that can convert sound waves into the digital language of ones and zeroes. Audio interfaces provide this translation.

Hi. I want to start an at home recording studio. What I want is to be able to record several different tracks, but not at one time. So would it be alright if I got an audio interface with only two inputs since i'm recording every instrument separately?? I'm new at this, so if I could get some help, I'd be very grateful. Thanks!
I agree with Henry. As long as the interface has two inputs that can handle mic, instrument and line inputs (on some interfaces the line inputs have separate jacks) you should be good to go.
