Fender gets into the iOS and computer instrument interfaces market with Slide, which is introduced at the Winter NAMM Show 2014.
Slide is a compact instrument USB interface primarily designed for guitar that is powered by the iOS or PC/Mac device to which it is connected. Slide features AD/DA converters, separate volume and mix controls and you can monitor the input and output simultaneously. Note that along with the computer/iDevice output, a headphone/speaker output is included.
The Fender Slide interface ships with a software bundle that features the IK Multimedia AmpliTube amp modeling software as well as the Rock Prodigy app for learning to play the guitar on Mac, PC and iPad.
