When I bought this cabinet (and the head Ashdown MAG300-R), I was looking for a config accessible in price, easy to carry and therefore fairly small. In fact, I turn in a band but am also known to play around as requested. I saw myself so badly lugging a big SVT at every turn, and moreover I did not decide to invest as much.
This is my only baffle baffle.
My bass is a Music Man StingRay 5-string and a Fender Precision States. I had also previously a Music Man SUB 5-string, a Rickenbacker 4003 and a Fender Jazz Bass.
The technical characteristics of the speaker are quite simple: 2 HP 10 "+ 1 tweeter, able to absorb 200 W RMS continuous.

SOUNDS

This does not sound or stereo cabinet or modern, but somewhere between the two. However, the speaker tends to be much more generous with the bass and midrange than the highs, which is not necessarily bad when you're bass player, and for me I greatly appreciate the low growl midrange.
The sound and dynamics are there, clear, powerful, and until so bad to my 5 string. Like what the bandwidth advertised by manufacturers are only indicative and should not replace a test store with your very own ears.

OVERALL OPINION

I use this speaker for 2 years and have found no problems.
The report his / power / weight / size is probably one of the best on the market, even if the new generation of low cabinets (1x10 style "in neodymium and 12 or 13 kg in total) should be tried.
I believe I have paid a ridiculously low price (- EUR 700 head + cabinet, all in new items, including postage) for a quality that I almost flawless.
I know of no better speaker in this price range, however I know many speakers that sound worse by being much more expensive ...
