This is an analogue channel strip 1U.
It has a preamp tube, compressor, parametric EQ.

XLR, Line and Instrument.
Jack and XLR (balanced).

Part Preamp tube preamp level control includes a transistor and a light level control. As well as essential:
-Phantom
Phase-Inversion
-20dB Pad-
Low-cut 80Hz.

The compressor section includes all the controls necessary for the proper control of a compressor:
-Threshold
-Ratio
-Attack
-Release
-Gain

And some handy features:
Compression-Soft
Auto-Release
Reverse-Compressseur / EQ
-Viewing the VU meter compression.

Part EQ (my favorite) is composed of 3 bands. It can be configured, we can choose the frequency and level.
The Low and High bands can serve as cutting down or cutting up.
Mid band also includes a control Q.

UTILIZATION

The setup is very accessible, even for a beginner.

The manual provides all the necessary explanations to the understanding of each element.
They give some ideas of settings for each instrument to trim the work for those who have never used compressor.

Each module can be bypassed, thereby facilitating the setting.

If you have a good idea of what is desired, it is obtained easily.

SOUND QUALITY

The preamp provides color and what I look for in a preamp!
The EQ allows you to work this coloration.

OVERALL OPINION

The quality is also good at the sound of the finish. Like most products Presonus, the card is in a metal case (which I notice it tends to disappear among brands in this category), the design is elegant.

What I like most about this device is the choice of settings, it is exactly what it takes to settle, and especially there is no unnecessary features!

I use it for 1 year and I found this product very useful for both studio and live performance.

Indeed, it can be used as a preamp and DI for a voice or an instrument like a bass or a guitar (which brings out the grain of the instrument and gives a lot of fishing, especially bass!)

For this price, it's very good equipment.
