Vienna MIR SE offers most of the features of the original Vienna MIR, the whole-space mixing solution based on Multi Impulse Response (MIR) convolution. Since the full version of Vienna MIR is rather demanding in terms of computing power, some of its features have been limited in Vienna MIR SE. A maximum of 32 instances – Vienna Instruments or 3rd party plug-ins – can be loaded into one project. While Vienna MIR SE provides stereo rendering, it doesn’t offer a surround option. It includes impulse responses of three halls of the “Wiener Konzerthaus”. Additional acoustic spaces such as RoomPack 2 or RoomPack 3 are available for download.
Vienna MIR SE comes with tailor-made instrument positioning templates for the Vienna Special Editions, Vienna Symphonic Library’s entry-level orchestra.
Pricing and Availability
Vienna MIR SE is available for Windows Vista / Windows 7 64-bit systems only in the Vienna Symphonic Library web shop for €395. Furthermore, an upgrade path to the “big” version of Vienna MIR is available at €445.
