Given the quality of the machine, I still wonder why no one has ever posted above .... but hey, it must be a first time for everything, I start!
So we are dealing with a digital delay rack with Korg, with sound quality ..... bluffing!
This delay has two input / output jack, a standard MIDI connectors (IN, OUT, THROUGH, and four external switches control various functions (Bypass, Tap Tempo, etc.).
UTILIZATION
Arf, the black point of this bug is still in use and the number of stunning settings. The manual is a joke and gives no information really useful (like, well, Time, that is used to adjust the delay time ...... no!?). I can be a little cartoon, but the reality is not so far that it my way!
Being accustomed to multi effects for guitar, I confess I feel a little lost, but will arive by j'finirai I tell you! After several hours of manipulation, and starting from the factory presets, you begin to understand the logic of the silly, one thing is certain: its level, it promises!
SOUND QUALITY
Aaaaaaaahhhh sound! But what a sound! some on Harmony Central are quick to compare the DL8000R the famous TC Electronic 2290. It must be said that the first thing that struck me with this delay is its transparency. Where my GMajor completely distorts the sound (loss of dynamic Eating certain frequencies, not big beautiful color), the Korg fully restores the original sound of my preamp.
The delay sound great, especially the wealth of possibilities (cross delay, multi tap). One can very easily happen to his psyche to the Edge or Gilmour.
The big surprise is the beautiful DL8000R Chorus and Flanger that can be achieved, well ahead of those of my GMajor (especially flangers beuacoup that seem more natural and less metallic).
In short, you'll understand: I passed
OVERALL OPINION
it'll be a week that I possess, it is connected between my ADA MP1 (3TM) and my VHT 2/50/2. I absolutely love the sound of this processor, I just was a little discouraged by the grip (hey, I'm still not used to this kind of stuff, that is).
I have known other delay that were on my old multi (JFX-1 and GMajor), here we are in another world, you do not play in the same court, the Korg is way ahead.
In his time, I understood that he was a high-end processor, it has just suffered the ravages of time and has gradually fallen into disuse.
For me, I knew him falling on pictures of stuff for Petrucci and Malmsteen (which are even two ...), I started looking for info on it and I ended up buy one for € 275.
The price / quality ratio is excellent and I confess that necessarily if it falls in the road, I have two solutuion: find another 2290 or so (if I be rich ).....
