I use Cool Edit Pro, 2.1 full-version. I've downloaded some instrumentals off of Limewire, and I'm trying to produce my own songs, adding my voice into the instrumental.
So do I just open up Cool Edit Pro, and View>Multi-Track.
Then insert Instrumental at Track 1. Then start recording at Track 2? I've tried that, but the voice doesn't blend in with the music at all, and sometimes not that good. Any tips or tricks, or am I doing something wrong? Is there a proper way to record? Please help.
Hey folks,
I'm a freelance announcer using old SAW software and COOL EDIT PRO.
Recently when I do a mixdown on CEP the end result is a scratchiness sound
over my voice track. The initial .wav file sounds clean until I mix it down.
I can SAVE SESSION AS and convert it to mp3 through other software but
that's an extra couple of steps I'd like to avoid. Can anyone offer a suggestion
to clean this up? I've been using COOL EDIT PRO for several years with no
problems - until recently. I've done all the troubleshooting I know how but
without results.
