UTILIZATION
- Configuration B3 organ and piano very simple to master, patch select buttons very pleasant.
We would like all manufacturers offer machines as easily accessible.
- Keyboard very nice, very close to the organ vintage keyboards.
The control software to load the different piano sounds can be easily installed on your PC and is very easy to use. You need a USB to load the sounds on the Nord Electro from your computer and sound card with MIDI to load the operating system (OS The last is the V3.0).
-The download of files and drivers is done from the Clavia website
Defaults to consider:
* The keyboard is splittable into two part as for the B3 organ sounds. It is therefore not possible to have a piano to the right and an organ sound on the left. (Too bad for dreadlocks! They have their second one keyboard ...
* You must have a sound card with MIDI on your computer to change the OS of your Nord Electro.
SOUNDS
This keyboard which includes much of the mythical sonnoritées keyboards of the 70 is the tool I was waiting for a long time!
Everything is in a minimum of space, perfect for the scene .... although ... this keyboard is still fragile, mine is already gone for repair. The keyboard had a bad contact. In addition, the transformer is more noise from the movement that I was subjected (nothing serious).
Sonoritées the machine was much improved since OS 1.1
I moved successively from version 1.1 to version 3.0 thanks to the USB connection that allows to change his machine (a very good idea by now recovered all manufacturers! Thank clavia !!!).
In the first version of the OS, the sounds of acoustic piano and clavinet were very poor but since the OS 2 (which the model correspont Nord Electro 2) sounds have evolved:
* A Hammond B3 organ with drawbars own keyboard
(These are diodes that are successively allumme)
The keyboard is splitable in 2 parts with 2 different organ sounds (effects apply to 2 parts)
"I am very happy with the organ sound, effects that can add and the keyboard. For I am moderately against convincu by the efficiency of games zippers
* A clavinet divine!
* 4 different models rhodes piano "very good"
* Wurlizther a "pretty good but hard to play with the effects"
* 2 type keyboards yamaha CP80 "very good"
* 4 acoustic pianos "means in earlier versions of the OS V3.
OVERALL OPINION
I have a Nord Electro 61 since 2003 and I think version 1 was not too sold in France. An article in the magazine Keyboards was a little hard on the machine. It was enough at the time saw the price of the unit but never corrected their judgments despite the exit of the Nord Electro OS 2.
Too bad because I think it's a good machine that Clavia has managed to improve over time and has no real competitor !!!!!
This is a keyboard that I do not regret having bought it despite its price because its character and is not a mere instrument of imitation.
Now I dream of a Nord Electro keyboard double keyboards but left the north course ....
