Value For Money :
Excellent
Rack ddi sounds to electro, techno and dance.
It contains the ROM "Beat Garden" and the ROM "Techno Synth Construction Yard" to SERIES, produced by a pillar of the Dutch Dance scne Rob Papen.
2 slots can reach the number of waveforms and patches by SIMMs ("Vintage", "Pop," "Pure Phatt", ...)
Sound presets: 1024, Sounds users: 512. The patches are fairly good quality in gnral, even if some are similar.
4 audio outputs, 2 Midi in, Midi out 2, Midi thru
UTILIZATION
The manual is clear enough, but it is not empty to take responsibility for a novice.
The edition and sound effects is not trivial, because there are many paramtres (50 DIFFERENT types of filters). The 4 in potentiomtres faade can accder 12 paramtres for CONTRL in real time, and it's a good point.
SOUNDS
The internal sounds of this module are DDIS electronic music. You can add the map "Pop" to add gnralistes sounds (sound library of Proteus 2500), or any other card EMU.
The sounds are quite expressive and well ragissent VLOC and aftertouch. At patches with two cards installed, I have 2048 preset patches and they do not a lot that I need, although the map "Pop" is not terrible in the brass and few strings, shame!
OVERALL OPINION
I have this module for a little over 4 months with the cards "Pop" and "Vintage" (sounds great for 70's and 80's). The strings and pads are standard and compete well with Yamaha and Korg.
The sound is clean, although some appear to have "clicks", but nothing serious trs.
The effects are of good quality (rverb, time limit, distortion ,...), more in the 50 filter types, there are phasers and flangers, which allows this type of SAVE the effect. The report price quality is excellent (I'd pay 900 euros, without expansion cards) but priori, we can not find it in the catalog. In addition, it does not recognize the card "Pop" after having upgraded to version 2.26.
I do not regret that choice, because it allows me to add in my big fat amricain set. The report qualitprix of this module is excellent.
