Value For Money :
Poor
Here it is I broke down. I hesitated with the sv 1-73 of korg but I chose the keyboard, the touch is really a success. I could not make me touch the north electronica 3. Having trained as a piano (jazz). I was always a bit frustrated when I played on the North electro3, I was very pleased by the cons rhodes and organ.
The keyboard on the ex nordstage used perfectly meets my expectations, my speed has increased and other Rhodes and Wurlitzer sounds is very persuasive. Remains the organ, I think to be quite honest that this type of keyboard is not ideal for the B3.
UTILIZATION
Very simple, easy to install SoundManager pc can manage all the sounds of nordstage.
very easy to use. but the synth part must be a little more complex (I never got served).
SOUNDS
The pianos are very interresting and a realism that is impressive. My ear became somewhat sanitized by the sound of Yamaha digital pianos I had (CP33 - P90 - P120). Too clean. The one approaches the sound of a real grand piano that can be heard in reality.
The piano sound Yamaha c3 is really the one I prefer. Steinway is one of the less convincing for me. Uprights are also great. the schimmel is superb ....
I had a little trouble at first with the reverb but it is now it is fact. The dynamics of the sound is very high like a real piano. (Press hard when the sound is very loud). This poses a problem that is never mention: the diffusion amplification: what to choose as amp or PA system .......
The rhodes is excellent but it is not new. Wurlitzer on too. The harpsichord is impressive but
I'll use it as I have not fired. The clavinets are not as awesome as I thought but
I have not yet explored the full range of effects and above all I'm really not an expert on the subject. but I liked a clavinet well programmed to stevie (Superstition).
synths and organ, it is not my thing so I have no comment.
OVERALL OPINION
I bought it seven days ago and I love its size, the 76 scores are well distributed and is sufficient to play my home directory, saving space, weight 17-18 kg with the included footswitch. But I return to this I like most is the lightness and responsiveness of the keyboard response. it's really nice to the same plastic material used for making notes is perfect (It does not stick, especially if like me you nervous a little moistened hands .......)
Criticism: it's a shame for the lack of accounting for libraries and electro North nordstage.
At a time when the memory of our computers only to grow, one can also wonder at the lack of evolution of the ram on the keyboard. Similarly Clavia would think to design a sampler like the Nord Electro.
The price is too high buy 2600 Euros. (2.5 times the SMIC). but there is no meaningful competition at this level of quality.
Clavia releases a NordPiano, I could not wait for its release, but I think it could seduce me too ......
