What characteristics have motivated your choice?
I had a discount on the price of the pro version and it is the first software that I discovered DJing at the time, Atomix MP3.
Which instruments and systems (console, preamp, DTD ...) you use it and how connections?
- Hercules MP3
-Hercules RMX
Traktor Audio-A6
-Kontrol X1
For what purpose?
At first, only with a controller and shares the suite with a mixer externally. I went then timcode.
What is your config (Motherboard / CPU / Ram / Hard, ...)?
Early with Windows Vista dual core / Seven after Mac OSX.
GETTING STARTED
The installation is done it without problems?
Yes, just follow the signs.
The general configuration is easy?
If you have not known the previous version yes, otherwise it can be a bit sought.
The manual is clear and sufficient?
It available in English, but a user of the VDJ translated into French. (See the website of VDJ)
SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE
The software works he correctly on this configuration?
Like any software, there is a minimum configuration to run VDJ. But better to have a powerful computer to be able to enjoy the maximum performance of the software. Especially if you get into the timecode.
OVERALL OPINION
How long have you use it?
Since the release of version 7. Otherwise I used in the previous versions since 2005.
How do you like the most?
- Stable software, many possibilities to adapt its equipment VDJ PRO FULL supports most midi controllers and sound cards.
- The interface is very clean, a novice will get used quickly.
- Update free for owners of the FULL version of PRO versions.
- The analysis of very specific BPM.
- The syncro
- Treatment of audio very good.
- The management of simple musical library.
How do you like the least?
- The weak point in Version 7 is for timecode. The software is lagging behind its competitors, to do with the future release.
- The color of the Waveforme, downright ugly.
How would you rate the quality / price?
It may be expensive, but it really versatile and fits everyone. Updates have always been free.
