Value For Money : Excellent
I have a maple renown since December 2009.
version 10 +12 +14 (tb) 16 22 + cc14x5 burst in autumn
I love this drumkit is safe! I hesitated a peral pcs and possibly Mapex but I opted for a drumkit that should have character with its faults and qualities rather than its happening everywhere ...
I like:
following skins can all play with, I tried the G2, G2 coated, coated Evans G1 (G2 less strained than the G1) and finally I kept the G1 because they do reveal the character of this kit in his round . the kick sending good bass, toms sing!
minimum:
weak point is the snare that could have been more successful (see bof very trigger too light), once properly adjusted (Evans G1 above) changed the timbre (pearl) I set so sharp and funky as I have another bronze 14x6.5 Gretsch powerful.
I had few kits (jazzette, export, Tama Starclassic) and tried the yam custom absolute, oak, first apkludwig Vistalite ...
the price I got was very good, I ordered a 16-tom "in addition to the basic kit merge all for 1600 euro.
I do not regret that choice, there mùieux I realize this but my drumkit Paut make everything a drummer expects his next instrument settings, so for me it represents the best compromise investment / quality / sonic possibilities. more Gretsch brand represents just one alternative in the current stuff ... and that's not bad!
I recommend this drumkit to any drummer demanding an end to the settings looking for a unique sound, a fingerprint, without falling into the drumkit too typed and assigned to one task ...
Very good level for this kit, the quality without breaking the bank ...
