Best value: Excellent
The possibility of having an SSL console on my Mac lower price, the DSP processor that relieves my computer.
I use it in my home studio "amliorquot;.
Imac 20 "2.4 GHz Intel Core Duo and 3 GB RAM OS Leopard
Mainly with Cubase 5, a MOTU 828 MkII, a MOTU 8 PRE, while a fleet of studio microphones, a TC Powercore
I took the 32-channel extension and Drumstrip

UTILIZATION

I had on my old Macbook G4 some installation problem, but I must say that I had SAV SSL softphone to really count, srieux and attentive and the problem I t has rgl in 3 days. On my iMac it was installed without any problem. The configuration is childish. The manual is simple and you can download on the site of SSL complmentaires other information.

GETTING STARTED

The drivers are stable, I loaded the latest by buying it for more need to change a winning team.
I use it sometimes with DP 5, but with experience for over 10 years of work on Steinberg, I confess be more comfortable on Cubase5. Any fawn, either one or the other software I exprience proves they are worth all From the time we know to use it.
Latency (thanks to MOTU) is very reasonable.
Using drumstrip in STREO I still have 30 tracks available, as all know grate. Sometimes it is enough to make a sub-group and treat it for STREO SAVE tract.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it since October 2008, I have two remix albums with bluffing about the results.
Pros: ergonomics, quality of sound, simplicity of use, clear manuals
Cons: well it's virtual, no buttons under the fingers
The report price is most excellent quality, when I read some people complain about the price I want them to remember, like me, the era o only a few happy few could mix in a studio with a quip SSL or Neve. For under 1000 you can have a 32 channel SSL home.
I also read that some were disgruntled that did not sound like a real one, for working cost and compared with an SSL physical, I find your exact thundering. Everything becomes prcis, clear and mix are highlighted. In short, we get a truly professional quality of rsultat.
Exprience I would do with that choice, unless NEVE not also launching a competitive product ...
