Dynamic microphone
Super cardioid.
Bandwidth: 50 Hz - 16,000 Hz
For the rest of the technical details, see the plug of bone Beta85 T (if you have one) or visit the website of Superlux.
This microphone, like the Superlux Pro248, has exactly the same characteristics as the T bone Beta85 home, except that this model (the version above the PRO248 or bone Beta85 T) has a "boost" as they say between 60 and 250 Hz, to give more money and seat.
Despite this, as you noticed on the picture, it has not all the same shape as a Shure SM / Beta 58 or a T bone.Il is even heavier than the latter two, it has the husky air anyway.
Just over a SM58 sound manipulation, but it's still correct.
Mine has a switch ON / OFF.
Otherwise, it comes in a beautiful box of black plastic, covers more secure than Shure.
OVERALL OPINION
At the moment I tried it at home and twice in Live.
By receiving I expected something more "colorful" (I do not know why), in fact it is very close to T Beta85 bone, unlike the "boost" its effect, There are a little more bass and sat in the sound, and without touching the EQ.
The timbre of my voice appears less typical than a SM58, but also more open, light and airy (even with a T bone impressions Beta85).
The headroom is greater than the SM58 (the same for the T bone).
Despite this, There are still differences with the Beta85, subtle but they are there.
So of course, as mentioned above, the voice comes out with more bass and foundations.
The voice gives the impression to integrate and be a little better in the mix, the effect is quite subtle and less pronounced or even rude if I had tried to do with an equalizer (hardware or software) but I expected a minimum.
In fact, what surprised me most, although on paper the characteristics identical to those of the T bone is that the sound comes out with a little more brightness and clarity even than the other, again it's subtle, but you can hear.
Then, in Lives of the two I did with (in the entrance hall of a university in Lille, terrible conditions so), I had no feedback problems in the return of the singer, I thrived, however, and under these conditions in addition to removal, without EQ or for the facade, or for returns (except that of the mixing desk Soundcraft Spirit SX). And yet I expected in these conditions .
Very good rejection of Feedback so I have not had time to directly compare live with the SM58 and Beta85, I affirm nothing so for now, but I will not fail to do so at .
In short, for 49 euros in Music Town or Bestdealmusic (not easy to find in Germany, whereas in England it is quite easy but more expensive too), 10 euros more than the Beta85, I have a microphone which is equivalent to my T bone, but with a little more foundation or brightness and clarity, too, a little less so I think neutral but with a tone very close anyway.
For 10 euros more, you have a T-bone in a little better.
Again, I find the price / quality ratio monstrous as T Bone, I highly recommend either for a first purchase or a complete fleet of micro.
It extracts ds There's comparisons between different mics (including T Bone MBBeta85, Shure SM58 and Superlux among others) is the hard and poorly sung and all (sorry, I do it again) here:
