«  A jazz bass that has big ... »

everything has been said ... A Mexican but with a violin that seems good level.

UTILIZATION

So as they say: "This is a jazz bass." So the neck is very thin and nice and access to acute is perfect. It does not sting the nose. Personally I find not particularly light, but it is no longer a dead donkey. In summary, ergonomics that I love, which is not at all exotic for a jazz bass.

SOUNDS

I play rock, jazz, reggae, funk and pop. In any case we easily manage to find a good sound. The preamp not color the sound evil. It performs its job and corrections are effective. One can easily go from a very medium punk sound good for roots reggae. I always play with two microphones simultaneously. I think they complement each other very well, between the roundness of the neck pickup and dynamic pickup. The set provides a powerful and dynamic sound. In all cases, the sound is typical jazz bass but with more cumbersome. I think she should be able to cope well in a metal folder.
One caveat though: the noiseless pickups lack a bit of precision.

OVERALL OPINION

I played for 7 years extensively (my main bass). I recently grafted him a pair of vintage microphones benedetti. It gives him a new lease of life and it can be given more precision in sound, enhanced susceptibility to attack.
I tried a lot of bass before buying (other fender, cort telecaster, Warwick, Ibanez ...). I was looking for a versatile bass and I was and am still filled. A very endearing low, super comfortable. With new pickups I find it perfect. This is a bass that I will keep a long time. A highly recommended for those seeking a typed his jazz bass with a bit more cumbersome.
