« Fender Deluxe P-Bass Special »
Published on 06/27/01 at 15:00I purchased this item via the Musician's Friend catalog for $459.00. The reason I bought this bass was because I recently got a job as a bass player and I only own six strings!
It plays very nicely. The Maple neck is beautiful and the combination of the Jazz neck and P-Bass body provides a slimmer easier to play neck for someone like myself who normally plays six string, and the P-bass body is lighter and slightly smaller than the the Jazz body which is easier on the neck and shoulders.
The electronics are not quite as nice as the USA made models, but I expected that, and for the way I use it suits just fine.
Very nice construction and quality as I've come to know and expect of any Fender product.
A great bass for the semi-professional that doesn't want to part with a grand or more for the USA made models.
