Excellent
Fender Mexican Standard 2013 3 brownburst tones.
I instaled a bridge gotoh chrome b-201.
maple neck.
20 frets micro jazz bass.
micro adjustment knob and tone.
UTILIZATION
the handle is very nice too late are too big for my hands, the back of the neck is satin finish that glides like a skating rink, handle very enjoyable to play and very comfortable.
the body is alder.
the weight is on each, I find it there are slightly heavy.
in sitting position I find it well balanced.
access to acute is very much like all jazz bass btw.
SOUNDS
it is perfect for my musical styles (prog, rock, jazz, blues).
I can get a very fat sound very crystalline.
I play on an amp Ampeg PF500 with eden office and EX112 is a pure delight.
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for 3 weeks.
I also tried a fender american.
value for money is great and I would do this choice without hesitation.

I go to the local store in order to buy a fender and when I saw this Mexican fender $ 600 CAD I did forbear to look, I had to spend 10 to 15 minutes The scrutinize only to find she had a violin and an impeccable and flawless finish, the only complaint is that the starting action is a bit too high but it is a minor problem that fits, I compared the finish with an American and honestly there is no significant difference, I played the American and the Mexican coast to coast and that is that there is some difference in the quality of microphones, volume adjustment and also the amp mics U.S. were a bit more powerful and had a crisper sound that said, the pickups are not Mexican shit far away it delivers a beautiful sound I still intend to change the pickups for Seymour Duncan SJB-1 which sounds the death for $ 140 CAD and there comes the sound will be closer to 90 to 95% of an American fender for about 60% the price of an American, a U.S. costs $ 1,350 against CAD $ 800 CAD for Mexican with new pickups and a good b-bridge gotoh 201, you make your choice.
