Lower Gibson made in United States, made 65 to 75 (mine is 69)
mahogany body, mahogany neck glued, 20 frets and rosewood fingerboard.
A single microphone in the neck position, a volume control and tone control.
Ability to mute the strings.
Excellent finish for the time.

UTILIZATION

This low has the thinnest neck I've seen. Profile, width and thickness are very close to those of a guitar ...
Access to treble is super simple, it is becoming exceedingly slight. The only little thing annoying is that it is not very balanced, ie it falls on the side of the head when you do not support it with your left hand.

SOUNDS

Question sound is very, very special, the lack of pickup and the warm neck pickup do not get a snapping sound. However, it is a festival warm, round, or even fat ...
Ideal for the Blues, the rambling and support, she always satisfied to play in my group of Bal (French songs and old hits ...). I played on a Fender 300 watt amp but the lack of settings on this amp I was not really allowed to sculpt my sound.
I love playing the blues rock on this bass ...
I would like to acknowledge the major defect of this instrument: it is absolutely impossible to sound the slap keeping the original microphone ... but I never bothered to try something else.
I put 7 / 10 for lack of versatility.

OVERALL OPINION

I use my bass for 6 years although currently I am no longer part of a group in time as bassist for I have always been more bass guitarist ...
I have never regretted this purchase especially for the ridiculous price that I got ...
It's really an extraordinary instrument, which is more a collector's.
