« Good value but has matured ... »

Value For Money :
Poor
Everything has already been written.
4 points off because of the absence of loop (see below) and editor PC / Mac (though it should not be too complicated to be programmed from the time).
UTILIZATION
The manual is good.
This is quite understandable, but not so easy to edit (the éditeeeeur PC!)
There are so many possibilities that it is sometimes discouraging. Finally, on the other hand, there are still sound after his happiness.
SOUND QUALITY
The G Force is fairly transparent. I would not say absolutely transparent, passed through a mesa boogie Triax, we feel a small difference between the G Force active and bypassed. Finally, it is normal.
The converters are starting to age a little but the time was great.
Missing some effects like Univibe found in Gmajor 2. But I never found a good Univibe multieffect, anywhere, and God knows I tried! Better to buy the pedal.
TC Electronic has however made a big mistake they have caught up with Gsystem: There is no loop in the Gforce. Wah and compression will still be after the preamp, not really usable. What a blunder! The above, they have no excuse but then no (it already existed when they left).
For wah, I found a solution, just put a little drive before. Drowned in all this sounds a bit less showy but it is a crutch.
It's still stupid not being able to fully serve two effects widely used.
Finally I bought myself a real wah, and that no digital multi effect can replace them But it's still a pedal to move and in some cases, I'd rather do without.
The most important effects, chorus, delay, reverb ... are all excellent.
Some complain about the drive but do not forget he is only there to color the sound (as stated in the manual) and then he did the job.
OVERALL OPINION
It's been 10 years since I'm using at the time was the best of the best for the price (the eventide was much too expensive).
He begins to age and does not do anything modern multi effects but for now it works perfectly well, it's solid and I feel that it is indestructible.
A digital camera designed 20 years ago and is still selling, it is proof that this is a great value.
With experience, I would do this choice, simply because I do not see any competition (maybe Axis FX but I suspect it's more a fad than anything else, a sort of Pod Gforce-).
The story of the loop, it's really really annoying.
And as rightly pointed out another user, there is a small wait between presets due to a difference of level, a problem which can be adjusted but it's tedious! And if we do not solve, live is obvious.
For the price, even if it fell out, these two errors are outliers.
