UTILIZATION

Usage is fairly simple as we use the factory presets, but when sagit edit them, despite the manual, you must not expect the simplicity of good old pedals ... on the other hand is ideal for Live to have his scheduled!

SOUND QUALITY

This contrasts with the individual effects, that makes everything, but nothing amazing, especially if we do not spend hours doing a good setup ...

Personally, I do not use more, I discovered the analog pedals (Electro Harmonix, MXR ...) for modulations and good delay and reverb (Digitech, Boss ..) individual. And then there is no photo, day and night!

SOUND QUALITY

I tried the digitech which was worse.

Delays and reverbs are very good. I use it instead of the reverb of my amp which is nevertheless excellent. The compression is quite effective from the time the settings are well proportioned. By clean we get a very good attack on the solos to "the wall". No breath.
For modules, the chorus is good, flanger and phaser are more difficult to adjust. So with patience we come out something good but do not stop at the fact that some metal trap without taking the time to refine paramètres.L 'update 1.27 fixes also this impression.

Overall it is very clean and well above the Boss pedals and such.
I also use reverb and delay on the voice recording times.

OVERALL OPINION

I've been using it for nine years. You can really assess the quality of a product after many years of use.
In spite of its high quality, the G Major has the following cons:
The controls are not very practical to edit parameters: the values spring and you'll have to turn back the controls to find the right value! Grade: 0/20!
After nine years of use the display has started to show some faults. It gets on and off, and on, etc. It also freezes... And it's a huge problem since the display is needed for all settings.

I give it 5/10 because the sound quality and the effects are great. But it's not acceptable that a device made for on stage applications has such problems...

How long will the life of the G Major 2 be? It's too early to answer the question. It's a pity that the manufacturer didn't equip the new version with a USB connector... Bad!
