Case and all metal buttons - that's the tough!
Almost all the effects imaginable is available on the G2.
Sampling in 24/96 with 32-bit internal processing to keep the grain of his instrument.
Small drum, which helps out a lot.
Guitar input, stereo output jack 6.35 serving line out, and headphone amp.
Expression pedal input.
Socket or power transformer 9 volt batteries.
The only thing I regret only one exit is available, and two mono outputs in addition would have been great ... I put 9 / 10 only for this reason
UTILIZATION
The configuration is relatively simple once you got it functioning.
Editing is simple and the French manual very clear but a bit too succinct for me.
For cons, the display is reduced to two characters, it must be addressed early on G2 with the manual side. Abbrévitions because of two characters (MP for Mono pitch shifter, or for Stereo Chorus SC) will not allow you to understand their use without the manual.
Indispensable manual!
SOUND QUALITY
So there, welcome surprise.
It is amazing what a small multi-effect to € 99 can now do it!
Not only were all the possible effects, but also fifteen modeled amp and pedals!
Then start first with the effects:
Chorus: This is one of the best chorus I've heard - crystal clear sound - excellent definition and spacialisation. No complaints.
Delays and echoes are nickel.
Wah Wah: nothing special - share what ...
Harmonized Pitch Shifter Super because it automatically generates harmonies based on the tonic and the tone that we program.
For cons, I like the phaser too, because we can only choose the color and speed but not its depth - quite annoying detail.
The number of 4 reverbs are excellent and not synthetic at all.
-----------
Passont to modeling:
The clear his (my priority) are superb. Well above the V-AMP and POD.
As for distos that good (well almost). The sound is again higher than the V-AMP.
My preferences go to the simulation of Dual Rectifier and Peavey 5150 for large distos. Simulation of the Fender Tweed 53 is also excellent for the Blues.
For cons, I know a little Metal Zone Boss and I find the simulation of the Metal Zone G2 is missed. However if one does not compare to the real Metal Zone, this distortion is of interest to the Metal.
As for the fuzz, they are not bad but nothing special.
Regarding the simulation of HP for the registration line, it is quite correct and it sounds really natural.
So I have not noticed any loss of potato by using it.
However, I noticed that the simulation VOX sounds better without simulation on my HP Hughes & Kettner edition blue 30 HP in simulation on my table ....
Last, the reduction of breath: Incredible efficiency - not a pet of any loss of breath and even potato by pushing the settings.
Without gear, the G2 does almost no breath!
OVERALL OPINION
I love everything about this G2, from design to quality effects and modeling.
The value for money is incredible.
When you think the high end there are not even 10 years did not come to this small chevile G2 ...
If I have the means, I would later Zoom G9, better equipped and lamp!
