- 7-string guitar, bought in the U.S., but certainly made in Japan for the price paid for nine.
- 22 frets, 2 humbuckers Ibanez.
- Fixed bridge, strings through the body of the guitar.
- 3 position pickup selector type Gibson SG / Les paul, 4 pots of settings: 1 volume and 1 tone by microphones.
- Handle end and quite nice, except the time to fit the width of the 7-string, nothing to say on this side of ...

The finish is rather strong, I bumped several times, and I do not see any scratches ...

UTILIZATION

As mentioned above, the handle 7 can rope a little confusing at first, like all 7-string when you are not used, but it is very very fast. As "SG" gives access to a sharp reproach.

The main drawback is a certain lack of balance tends to tilt the guitar a little forward, but it's a matter of personal habit that does not bother me that much ...

The mechanisms are not very high quality (probably one reason for the price of the guitar), and if only one bend the strings a bit, we move quickly time has réacorder ... That said, I until now owned guitars with Floyd and block-chords, which was not used very promptly that either ... I recently changed the mechanics for self-Sperzel blocks much better, and my problems désacordage it almost disappeared, which is useful for keeping a clear agreement on a 7-string.

Apart from these problems, the handling is fast enough and he did not falu too long to feel at ease with ...

SOUNDS

My style of music ranges from Hendrix Slipknot ... but the goal was to acquire a 7-string not too expensive, without buying a dung either, to explore other sounds and play stuff has Facory Fear or Korn ... to say it's worth a high-end Ibanez, it's enough for me, live recordings repeats or characters, and even considering some "upgrades" done a little later (microphones and mechanical), it remains quite affordable compared to other 7-string, while having a more than adequate and quite suitable to the use sought ..

I played for a long time on a Marshall DSL 100 + effect on Boss GT5, Mesa Dual occasionellemt a friend, concerts and regularly repeated every week ... now GT8 home, and this guitar has always been very well involved, a big sound in all situations, tuning that takes the road after the change of mechanical ...

I equipped all my guitars with Seymour Duncan SH6, as is the sound that suits me, and it's the same in version 7 strings. The Seymour really make a difference with the basic Ibanez pickups, and I think it's also an "upgrade" needed for whatever your needs even if they are all the same road, microphones bases are not too accurate give her a little too "mushy" ... But again it's pretty subjective because I wanted to have a consistent tone from my guitars .. 3

The sound is rather "large" compared to my floyd equipped guitars, was because of the string passing through the body of the guitar that give me a resonance enriching the sound ... I really love this way is that ringing has adapted to the use that I made a big sound in saturated and rich, warm both solo and in clear ...

OVERALL OPINION

I have this guitar since 2004, using it almost every day since its purchase.

The least are the mechanics of too low quality, and it is better to be good on a 7-string, and the original pickups that, while not entirely bad, are unclear ...

Honest, I cracked on the overall look of the guitar that I find to fall, and the form SG which is not common for a 7-string and form stratabound sampiternelle ... so I jumped on it, eventually to be convinced by the low price here (U.S.), without really compared to other guitars in the same range, but I think that I will not buy other 7 strings of more traditional forms anyway. ..

The change of mechanical and microphones are really necessary for me, but if we add these costs to the purchase price of the guitar, it's still very affordable compared to others.
I find the body, the neck, the bridge and the knobs (which everything else!) Very good, and I think I made the right choice to opt for an "improvement" of a guitar with a not too expensive less common form (and beeeelllle) than others.
