Alesis is now shipping its DM5 Pro kit equipped with Surge Cymbals.
According to Alesis, this kit is aimed at providing more natural playing sensation than the usual rubber pads. The Surge Cymbals are said to be the only cymbals that integrate built-in electronic triggers with a custom brass alloy.
The Surge Pack containing the 12" Hi-Hat, 13" Crash, and 16" dual-zone Ride is also available separately.
