Published on 05/20/11 at 06:10IAEA tried yesterday to the Pearl E-Pro Live with cymbals E-classic (metal) Milonga and here is my analysis.
The floor space (measured): If the length is identical to a TD12, the width is twice as high, due to the GC Pearl-sized acoustic.
Conveying side, the Pearl is also a large acoustic while the TD12 is in a bag.
Once seated, the dimensions of the drums are aprécierez (nothing to do with the pads TD12) and the rebound on the skins is very similar to a trampoline as accoustique.Pas effect on skin mesh.
Noise issue on the toms, hardly louder than TD12 pads.
Good for skin Pearl!
on the other hand cymbals E-Classic is excessively noisy and the rebound is pretty much prefer bizarre.Je rubber cymbals Roland.
The hi-hat pedal with his expresion, unmanageable and absolutely nothing to do with the VH11 Roland.A ban!
The module and sounds: the module looks like a toy, a plastic quality than douteuse.Doit age badly in temps.Rien to do with the TD12 module.
Cons by the sounds are very good for a TD12 qualité.Mais, just buy a few kits on Vdrum Lib and tweaks, and for my part, we get a similarly satisfactory.

Test with real nylon brushes kits appropriés.Résultat zero and nothing to do with the trigger or setting TD12.Pb choices as in the promotion of Denis Chambers to play with chopsticks ..... basically a gimmick.
Finally, there is the advantage of turning it into changing the acoustic peaux.Oui, but given the barrels marked "made in Taiwan (China disguise), not too often repeat the operation in the year, as the threads shells are likely to deteriorate rapidly, given the poor quality of matériel.Rien to do with the quality of Roland pads marked made in Japan and USA.
Conclusion: Apart from an attractive price and rebound for skins on my part is a progress in the world of electronic drums, the Pearl is a nice toy with beautiful sounds.
But I keep my TD12 remains much higher on many points.

And I have no problems with the striking surface, equipped with mine and with PD105 PD125 (ditto TD20).
