Excellent
- What characteristics have motivated your choice?
The recent drop in prices of the product. The 10 line inputs! The quality of the converter for this price range. The firewire!
- For what purpose?
I record layout for small groups and I needed a card that allows me to do multitrack.
- What is your config (Motherboard / CPU / Ram / Hard ,...)?
P4 3.4 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 2x160 GB S-ATA, MSI motherboard, chipset i915P
- Which instruments and systems (console, preamp, DTD ...) you use it and how connections? ...
The insert of my Mackie CFX16 enter the line inputs of the card. I plug in my v-amp also directly on it!
UTILIZATION
- The installation is done it without problems?
I had absolutely no problem, and that is either SP1 or SP2. 5 minutes chrono every time. on the other hand should spend some time fixing buffers, latency and all the fuss for not cracking!
Ah yes, remember to disable the sound card integrated with the CM, if it is on that aura of conflict!
- Have you experienced any incompatibilities?

- The general configuration is easy?
There's not a lot of adjustment. You just understand the routing system of the map thanks to rewire. But it's not very complicated once you get caught, it's up!
- The manual is clear and sufficient? ...
Not too bad, most of the SAV (Arbiter France) is very competent, do not hesitate to mail!
on the other hand, Hercules does not seem to want to update their drivers regularly, so -1 for monitoring!
GETTING STARTED
- The drivers are stable?
Its going home. Not too worried even if there are improvements that could be made!
- What software do you use most often?
I run Cubase SX, up to 8 tracks simultaneously, no prob. Latency about 10 ms. In the mix, about 18 tracks loaded plugin without cracking!
OVERALL OPINION
Good, I digress ...
I use it for three months without incident. Recently, the card restarts for no apparent reason. I immediately thought of the power supply, but the sky was faster than me. It was enough of a power currents in the day so that the power supply makes the soul! Really not good quality ...
In short, a lil mail to me that the Service has dispatched a new DIRECTLY, I recoi in the currents of the week ...
At its, great value for money, I counsel all those who want to model!
As soon as I have more, I will turn to an interface more "pro", like RME ...
EDIT: I received the new power supply that works very well, the card will reboot over and is very stable.
