OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a short month, so I just give a quick overall view to enlighten those who are not lucky to have on hand!

- We will not go back on the sound side, this is clearly above the range of the base interfaces, and just below the gear studio pro, the rates generally unsuitable for home studiste.
It's very clean, more than MOTU in my opinion (but I like the light coloring MOTU preamps, so no war in prospect).

- The point I was buying the pinball: the interface with the famous TotalMix delirium. Well, then in fact it is very intuitive to have had other sound cards where it was hell to go through the software, then it is as simple as having the knobs in facade except that manages the mouse. Everything is easy to find, and you can go very deep in the beast without losing sight of the essential first glance. No regret not having, as the Firepod for example, gain direct access to each entry. Too cool.

- Synchro impeccable, this was not the case in all previous sound cards that I had. Ahem.

- What difference does it have a good sound card? For those wondering, the preamps are really good quality show the true nature of the instruments, the sound is less "packed", less "deaf" and resonates less in certain frequencies. It's a bit the same comparison can be done between an amp low end and high end (for the guitar, for example). And converters? It's not really obvious, but the sound is more "fishing" and looks better "breathe" with good converters. It is mainly a question of dynamics of my point of view, the preamp making a real difference on the spectral side (I tested "good" preamps on "bad" sound cards, rendering the spectrum is me not seem so bad at acquisition) Again, this is based on my pair of ears, and I'm not listening :) B

That's the general opinion, if it helps someone to decide what is better.

Conclusion: very very good deal, especially secondhand ...

Only downside: a bit boring racker (size 1/2, why the handles?) But also annoying to carry as it is without the box (fragile connections at the rear). But hey, nobody's perfect ...
