GETTING STARTED
So just to say that I could not even taste the preamps ect because I had crackling audio playback of any sound, even when I was not reading anything! I'm on a PC config that goes well (i7 2600K to 4Ghz, 12GB RAM, motherboard recent, current, and known for its stability.
So I got cracking at the connection (via a FireWire home on my motherboard). So I told myself that this was perhaps the FireWire chipset my motherboard that was not cool. So I invested in a PCIe FireWire card with the "famous" Texas Instrument chipset, I could not have done more useless, no changes!
So I had to sell it to a Mac owner that he has no problem with, and I'm back to the starting point with my FastTrack Pro ...
Misadventure among many others ...
OVERALL OPINION
I do not spit on RME and their products, I realize that this is really a serious mess these incompatibility issues. But prepare yourself psychologically to be having to return your newly chosen new interface ... Good luck!
