Which outputs to use??

Hello all,
I'm a total noob and I need some advice.
I just got the x1832usb mixer which I'm plugging into my sound card. My question is, what is the difference between the "2-Track/USB" RCA output/input connection and the "Main Outputs" XLR connectors in the back of the mixer. I plug into my Line In/Mic and Line Out connectors on the sound card. The RCA connectors labelled "2-Track/USB" have additional controls on the board, whereas the XLR Main Outputs" are just simple outs from the back of the mixer.
Which ones should I use to go into my sound card? Both work.
