Rating: 10 - Nothing special actually.
UTILIZATION
I use it in the loop of my amp (AMT SS-20) with a boosted overdrive. The whole is a bit noisy, I like the quiet.
The Decimator is placed before the effects just to be able to use my delay / looper without noise (especially in looper mode).
With a single button and switch on / off, saying that the Decimator is simple to use does not seem necessary.
Rating: 9 - When it is no longer supplied (usually switch on my pedalboard), the Decimator is off by default when it is recharged. Not the end of the world, m'enfin ...
SOUND QUALITY
My amp has 3 channels continuously boosted by an overdrive. So I have: clean, heavy crunch / distortion, lead.
The Decimator is set to-30dB in order to completely mute the sound when I do not play on the canals clean and heavy crunch (I use most), a slight background noise is noticeable in lead.
With this setting I did not find any alteration in my particular game "every day". You really have to play very sensitive to clean the Decimator eat my signal to a level that I do not practice, so no worries for me.
Rating: 10 - Devilishly effective, it is all a matter of compromise when it comes to noise gate, here I do not hardly.
OVERALL OPINION
It's a beautiful pedal (love the chrome effect!) Which is just as effective as it is beautiful. I have not tested other noise gate, failing to have available, I threw myself on the market benchmark, without regret.
A remake, if I have a higher budget, I'd take the G-String version, but I do not feel the need for change.
Final score: 9 - Without worries - Minor - off the pedal at each switch, it would have been a perfect score.
