Unlike most Boss pedals, I was surprised by the weight of the pedal once in hand, and what we feel are in there!
It has an input jack In and Out, a cavity for a 9V and 12V input.
UTILIZATION
Config 'generally very simple, no need for manual, one branch, it presses on the button, and adjusted the threshold for suppression of sound.
It may be just regret that the adjustment knob is not more difficult to turn, because of the blow just touch the knob without express with the foot and setting changes.
SOUND QUALITY
Regarding the sound reproduction ... so there ... just a relief!
I play on Marshall tube usually in crunch channel, to which I added a distortion pedal, as you say that the slightest touch of rope directly sends feedback.
Once the pedal enclanchée (with the threshold set properly of course) is simply sublime, all the buzz is rotting my sound removed (without delay, if the setting is well done), there remains the essential Sound!
Small black dot (in my opinion), once activated, it is difficult to keep the sustain when we decrease the volume knob on the guitar, but you just turn off the pedal for this kind of thing.
I tested the noise gate in different parts of my chain (including effects loop), for now the best place that I found, is between my pedals and amp cover.
OVERALL OPINION
I use it now for five months, it's not really my first Noise gate because I used noise gates of multi effects pedals before, and we feel much difference. The mute is far less brutal and more "intelligent" to me.
What I like most: The robustness of the pedal, it does its job well, easy to use.
What I like least: The knob that could be better calibrated, price: € 155 normally, I took her back the US, I could have less of the shot. It is certainly cheaper than € 100 PKI Decimator G-String ... but I think it's worth every penny!
I would do this choice? Yes clearly
