I work on a pro laptop. Map mbox pro SSD512Go, 16GB RAM. Proc I7 2.2 GHz 8-core.
It runs well in regular operation. on the other hand with some plugs, it stuck fast: protools celemony + + alloy: it is quickly on his knees.

OVERALL OPINION
7-8 months of use. I had trouble starting. I knew that cubase so far and it took me switcher vocabulary, function names, shortcuts, global logic. Now I can set up my basic work quickly.
As I changed my card in addition to software, I do not know where it comes from but I prefer the sound of the audio with this config compared to my previous config (Konnek24D + Cubase). Overall, PT is oriented with respect to audio cubase more oriented noon. The two do everything, but we feel they are not part of the same need. So, I changed the way I do today, more audio and re-re.
the "confusing" menus are still pretty esoteric side there is a bric-a-brac in some cases. The trick is to configure it to not touch ... This allows you to forget how we did and read the book when the version changes
The ratio Q / P is good but given the specialized add plugs, it is difficult to judge this alone. For me, the Q / P ratio is how much you pay to get the results you seek, including the final mix.
